Today, 5th of March, the digestibility tests of the developed feed prototypes begin at IRTA’s facilities in San Carles de la Rápita (Tarragona). The main objective of these tests is to determine the optimal inclusion percentages of the developed ingredients in the aqua-feed prototypes. All these aqua-feeds will be tested over the 3 targeted species (sole, bream and trout). For these tests, it has been necessary to elaborate 2 control and 4 aqua-feed prototypes to test all the brewing by-products-based ingredients. Finally, based on these results, growth trials will be performed during the second and third quarters of 2019.
