Pilot and semi-industrial scale trials to obtain hydrolysed spent grain yeast as are finished

Last week, pilot and semi-industrial scale tests for obtaining hydrolysed spent grain as aqua-feed ingredient were completed. These tests began last December, and up to now around 5 tons of raw spent grain have already hydrolysed and stabilized. The development of this ingredient has been carried out under the recommendations given by aquaculture companies with the aim of increasing the digestibility of the ingredient and, therefore, the commercial value of the final developed aqua-feed prototypes. From May onwards a new production of hydrolysed spent grain will be carried out within demonstration trial. This new production will be used for growth trials of target species (sole, bream and trout).
